Rules and Policies
We will call/text/email clients if we cancel lessons due to weather conditions. If we do not contact you about cancelling a lesson, then we are not cancelling lessons and you are expected to arrive for your regularly scheduled lesson time.
36 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson. If you do not give 36 hours’ notice you will be required to pay in full.
Scheduled Lesson Times
The time your lesson starts is the time you are expected to be ready to mount. Arrive thirty minutes early to tack up and plan to stay after your lesson to un-tack. If you are late tacking up this will run into your lesson time. We do not credit time missed due to tardiness.
It is important to be able to handle and tack a horse as it helps build a relationship between the rider and horse as well as develops horsemanship skills.
During their scheduled lesson time students under 16 may be left unaccompanied by a guardian. Before or after the lesson time underage students must be accompanied by a guardian.
Friends or siblings of students must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.
We reserve the right to ban any dog from the barn grounds. No aggressive dogs allowed. All dogs must be kept on a leash.
All students are required to arrive to lessons with:
-ASTM/SEI approved helmet
-Jodphurs or breeches
-Long hair tied back neatly
-Weather appropriate attire i.e. rain jacket, warm clothes, gloves
Driving and Parking
Please always drive at 5mph on property for the safety of the animals and students.
For the safety and comfort of the horses and rider we do not accept students over 200 lbs.
